BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf Ambedo - Women's Cycling Team

The Rog Cycling Association is the only club in Slovenia that has begun to build the foundations of women's cycling. In line with the development strategy of the International Cycling Union, which promotes women's competitive and recreational cycling, we also strived to increase the popularity of this sport among women in Slovenia.

Year 2014 has become a turning point, the team BTC City Ljubljana became the first professional women's team in Slovenia. The BTC City Ljubljana women's team competed in the largest World Tour cycling events around the world (Tour de France, La Vuelta, Flanders, Tour of Wallonia, Amstel Gold Race, Giro Rosa,…) and thus paved her way into the elite of women's cycling.

A series of successes and the increasingly demanding conditions of the International Cycling Union led the Ljubljana team to merge with the Italian team. BUT, which allowed both Slovenian and Italian cyclists to stay in touch with the world's greatest competition. The most promising members - Eugenija Bujak, Urša Pintar and Urška Žigart – managed to take a step further and move into the elite World Tour.

Years 2024 followed by a new merger with the Italian team Born To Win, which is focused on the development of young female cyclists. This partnership has yielded exceptional results – 22 wins in road, track and gravel races.

In season 2025 will the team BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf Ambedo had the opportunity to compete in some of the biggest races World Tour in Italy and other major categorized races. We remain committed to developing talent, and with ambition and hard work we pave the way towards breaking through to the highest professional level.
